Camp Aloha

Summer 2025

Embark on a melodious journey this summer with Camp Aloha, where the

vibrant harmonies of Hawaii come alive under the guidance of long time music

instructor Raymund Ballesteros. With over 15 years of experience in music

education, Mr. Ballesteros invites you to dive into the world of ukulele and

choral singing, embracing the cultural tapestry and historical depth of Hawaiian

and popular music.

Throughout this captivating week-long camp, participants will strum their way

through the rhythmic heartbeat of the islands, learning to play the ukulele—a

symbol of Hawaiian aloha. Even if you've never strummed a chord before, the

experienced instruction of Mr. Ballesteros will lead you seamlessly into the

heart of this enchanting instrument.

The camp also delves into the art of vocal technique, where your voice becomes

an instrument of emotion and connection. Discover the rich tradition of singing

in a group setting, feeling the power of voices blending in harmony.

The camp is open to students ages 9-13 years old. No prior experience is

necessary, just an open heart and a desire to explore the universal language of

music. For those with a background in singing, this camp offers an opportunity

to refine your skills and deepen your appreciation for the nuances of musical

expression.

Join us for an unforgettable week that not only aims to elevate your musical

skills but also immerses you in the rich cultural heritage and historical depth of

Hawaiian music along with other popular musical styles, ensuring you leave with

lasting memories and melodies.
