Play Guitar!
An entry level guitar class where students learn the basics of how to play the guitar. Classes focus on chord structure, popular songs, and notation. At the end of the session the class will perform songs!
Play Drums! > Bucketeers
A beginning drum class for boys and girls played on 5 gallon plastic buckets at Music Motve and as an after/before school class at schools throughout SLO County - inspired by Bucket Busters.
Glee Club!
Learn how to sing with a group! The Class focuses on harmony, and proper vocal technique while applying it to popular songs. At the end of the session the class will perform a number of songs! Each session brings in a variety of different songs, led by a professional vocal/choir teacher.
Play Ukulele!
Join the Ukulele movement! It’s fun and easy! Plus you’ll learn the fundamentals of music while playing to popular songs. By the end of the class session you will be able to perform a song! We have ukuleles available for purchase.
Play Piano!
An entry level piano class where students learn the basics of how to play the keyboard. Classes focus on chord structure, popular songs, and notation. At the end of the session the class will perform a songs!
Percussion Break
A weekly lunch time hand drumming class at Music Motive in San Luis Obispo.
Private Lessons vs. Class Lessons
Neither one is better than the other. They both have there advantages. Our friendly and patient instructors all have one thing in common. They have a passion for teaching music and they care about people. Most of them are professional musicians who love to share their own experiences. It's a great way to learn about your instrument of choice. That is, the instrument and the music you're drawn to. Our classroom curriculum has been developed for mostly beginning levels. Students learn in a fun and well equipped environment, The Big Room. It's complete with comfortable chairs, a high end sound system, 60' LED wide screen monitor, and the kind of interaction that motivates learning!
